The Story
A four-generation Newari coming-of-age ceremony, captured with quiet respect for every ritual.
The Shrestha family invited us to document their eldest son's bratabandha — a full-day sacred ritual with 80 relatives across four generations.
We planned the coverage with the family priest so no ritual was interrupted. Two photographers moved with the ceremony; a third documented the family's reactions and the food.
The final album is bound in cloth and is now a family heirloom.
